The Hapuku Lodge & Tree Houses – Kaikoura, New Zealand
Five sumptuous Treehouses are located on this beautiful deer-breeding farm on New Zealand’s South Island, 12 kilometres North of the renowned eco-marine town of Kaikoura. Each of which sit high above the manuka groves and have views of the mountains and ocean beyond. Take in the breathtaking views from the spa bath, or cosy up with a book in the inviting seating nook complete with wood fire and deck.
The Lodge’s five Tree Houses are nested 10 meters or more above the ground in the canopy of a native Kanuka grove. There are three 1-bedroom Tree Houses, and two “Family” Tree Houses, designed with children in mind, which both have a master bedroom in the upper branches and a somewhat smaller bedroom in the lower branches. The accommodations are designed to complement the natural environment and are completely immersed in the surrounding nature.
Couples will enjoy a romantic and luxurious stay in the one-bedroom Treehouses. You’ll especially enjoy the deep soaking tubs and fireplaces. A mere 20-minute walk away is the famous surf beach Mangamaunu Bay, or visit the eco-marine town of Kaikoura for prime whale watching opportunities.
